I'm very excited to have helped start a new blog series on The Drunken Odyssey, a forum founded by John King to discuss all aspects of the writing process, in a variety of genres, in order to foster a greater sense of community among writers.
The series is called the Global Barfly's Companion, and as a monthly feature, it will cover literary bars across the world, focusing a bit on their history, their current state, and what book to bring if you go. The very first post is up today, my piece on the White Horse Tavern, the well-known haunt of Dylan Thomas. I hope you'll have a read!
I'm also very excited about some other pieces from across the globe that will come up over the next few months, and if you have a literary bar near you that you'd like to write about, get in touch with John. I'm sure he'd love to hear from you!
