A few weeks ago, I interviewed Charif Shanahan of the Poetry Society of America. In addition to being their programs director, he is also a Cave Canem fellow, a recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize ,and a semi-finalist for the “Discovery”/Boston Review Poetry Prize. Charif and I met at NYU, and I was so excited to have this conversation with him, and talk a little bit more about his work with PSA, and his own poems and translations.
You can listen to our conversation here. I hope you enjoy!
